Evosys Laser Services marks ten years of operations

Evosys Laser Services GmbH, the service subsidiary of the Evosys Group, is marking ten years of operations. Since its establishment, the company has provided industrial customers with technical services, contract manufacturing, design services and training related to laser material processing. It reports that it will close its anniversary year with a new sales record. Laser welding of plastics remains a focus of its activities, while the company plans to expand its service offering and its work in contract manufacturing.

In its early years, the service team shared premises with Evosys Laser GmbH and moved together with the parent company. As the business grew, it needed more space. In 2023, Evosys Laser Services GmbH moved into its own building next to the parent company. The approximately 600 m² facility accommodates its employees and production operations.

Applications and organisational development

Demand initially came mainly from the automotive industry. In recent years, applications in medical technology and consumer goods have become more prominent. The company intends to increase its presence in these areas, explore further applications and sectors for contract manufacturing, and develop its specialisation in medical technology.

Konrad Kraus initially led the company's organisational development as managing director, followed by Stephan Nickisch. Thomas Eckert took over as managing director on 1 February 2025. He leads a team of 25 employees together with managers responsible for service, contract manufacturing and design. "Ten years of Evosys Laser Services stand for trust, know-how and a team that takes responsibility for the processes of our customers. We thank all customers, partners and employees who have supported us on this path", says Eckert.

Evosys Laser Services GmbH has held ISO 9001 certification since 2019. According to the company, the certification was renewed in October 2026. Its quality management processes cover maintenance, design services and contract manufacturing.

Service plans and group cooperation

The company plans to develop its service activities further, including a new 24/7 service contract model. Its service team is also growing: two apprentices from the Evosys Group joined during the past year. Evosys Laser Services GmbH aims to strengthen its position as a provider of services related to laser welding of plastics.

"Essential for us is to remain close to the market and to our customers. Speed and flexibility count as our greatest strengths. We also want to preserve these with further growth", says Eckert.

Frank Brunnecker, managing director of Evosys Laser GmbH, points to the subsidiary's contribution to the group: "The entire industry is developing dynamically and offers considerable potential. Our corporate group has grown steadily in recent years and has further strengthened its market position. Evosys Laser Services GmbH makes an important contribution to this. Together, we want to continue to expand our competences and continue the development of the corporate group."
