Trelleborg to present medical solutions at Compamed 2026
Trelleborg Medical Solutions will present polymer-based components, single-use biopharmaceutical products and integrated development capabilities at Compamed 2026 in Düsseldorf.
Trelleborg Medical Solutions will exhibit products and capabilities for medical devices, pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications at Compamed 2026 in Düsseldorf, held from 16 to 17 November. The company will be present at stand F02 in hall 8A, with a focus on its Integrated Solutions programme. The approach is intended to simplify development and manufacturing systems while improving supply chains and logistics processes. According to Trelleborg, bundled purchasing, consolidated audits, shipping and logistics can contribute to cost savings. The company positions itself as a full-service partner for the design, development, prototyping and serial production of polymer-based solutions. It will also present the role of its recently opened and operational facility in Costa Rica in supporting customers.
Carsten Stehle, Business Unit President, Commercial & Operations Europe, says: "We support medical device and life science companies globally as a full-service partner for the design, development, prototyping and serial production of polymer-based solutions. With our newest facility in Costa Rica open and operational, this vision of better serving customers is further enhanced."
Custom components for cardiology
Trelleborg will showcase customised solutions developed for cardiology applications, including components and assemblies for pacemakers, heart valves and surgical equipment. The solutions are intended to support safe procedures, improve device performance and contribute to patients' quality of life.
Jean-Marie Gury, Business Development Manager, says: "Medical device innovation is accelerating in areas such as cardiovascular intervention and minimally invasive therapies. Our ability to combine materials science, component engineering and integrated manufacturing expertise helps customers solve complex design challenges and bring life-changing technologies to market faster.
"Compamed gives attendees a hands-on look at how we're partnering with the industry's leading OEMs to shape the next generation of medical devices."
Products for single-use biopharmaceutical systems
The exhibit will include the Trelleborg BioPharmaPro portfolio, which comprises products, materials and services for single-use systems. These solutions use materials including thermoplastics, silicones and composites, which can be processed into tubes, custom mouldings, assemblies and other applications.
Florance Veronelli, Product Manager, BioPharma Solutions, says: "SUS solutions, made from various materials including thermoplastics, silicones and composites, can be processed into tubes, custom moldings, assemblies and many other applications. For example, lightweight and non-reactive BioPharmaPro advanced composite columns serve as a high-quality replacement for reusable systems made from stainless steel or acrylic. This is because the products, made from reinforced polypropylene thermoplastics, have exceptionally good mechanical properties that can also be recycled after use."
Expanded innovation centre
Trelleborg will also describe its medical device development process and its investment in an expanded Innovation Center. The facility, currently under construction, will cover 5,110 square metres, or 55,000 square feet. It is intended to integrate activities ranging from early-stage prototyping to high-volume commercial production at one location.
Jeff Westom, Innovation Center and New Product Development Director, says: "Speed to market and high-quality, reliable supply are critical factors in our customer partnerships. We know they choose us for our expertise in tooling, technical solutions and ability to assist with the entire development process.
"Construction is underway on our expanded 5,110 square meter/55,000 square feet Innovation Center where we will deliver on all these aspects and provide an exceptional customer experience from early-stage prototyping to high-volume commercialization all under one roof."
